Ian is MintBox's Co-President. He came up through the organization as Vice President and now runs it alongside Shane Davidoff — the partnerships, the operations, and the unglamorous work of making sure more than two thousand donated boxes actually reach the families they were built for.
Outside of MintBox he founded and runs the childcare program at the New Sanctuary Coalition's weekly pro bono immigration legal clinics — which is where the two roles meet. Since September 2025, families waiting at the clinics go home with a MintBox. That partnership is the model he pushes everywhere: find the people a community already trusts, and bring the boxes to them.
In 2026 he led the rebuild of this website, including the impact-reporting rules it runs on — every number on the site is defined, dated, and checked before it ships, because the fastest way to lose a grant reviewer is a figure that does not add up.

We began distributing kits to families attending NSC's weekly pro bono immigration legal clinics, alongside the childcare program a MintBox member founded and runs there. The boxes travel through a relationship that already exists — which is the whole model.
