Who uses them
Blind and visually impaired New Yorkers

VISIONS provides services for blind and visually impaired New Yorkers at Selis Manor on West 23rd Street. The first joint session ran on the morning of August 28, 2026, alongside KidsKnowRights, hosted by VISIONS' program and community engagement team.

We committed roughly 60 boxes. The pot shipment arrived broken, so only 10 went out on the day — the honest number, and the rest of the delivery is being scheduled.

Growing by touch and smell is not a workaround — mint is one of the most satisfying plants there is to grow that way, which is part of why the single-pot mint box fits this partnership so well. The work here is also the clearest reason this website holds itself to WCAG 2.2 AA: a site the people we serve cannot use would undercut the point.

First session at VISIONS at Selis Manor

A morning session at 135 West 23rd Street with KidsKnowRights, hosted by VISIONS' program and community engagement team, for blind and visually impaired New Yorkers. We committed about 60 boxes; the pot shipment arrived broken, so 10 went out on the day and the rest are being scheduled. Mint is a plant you can grow by touch and smell — this partnership is shaping every guide we print.
